gettin a raptor

Default gettin a raptor

Hey im picking up a literally barely used raptor 660 next week. I haev a question...he took the baffle outta the stock exhaust is that bad?

no its not bad but make sure when u get its that it is jetted corectly for the endcap being off

i hat eyou i wanna baja 650 so bad but i cant get financed.....

what jetting do you reccomend to get...its all stock except for a sproket for more top end and the baffle.....will if just run like crap or what?

lol yea the ds650 is nice both quads have there good points i dont no what jetting you should have i dont own a raptor but if its jetted uncorrectly it would sputter or bog something along those lines. Some yamaha guys would no what jets i would think

so if i wait and jet it until i get my cxam, ignition, carb, and exhaust it iwll be fine...im gonna jet it after that...its tgonna bout 6 months....
the only thing will be adverse effects in throttle response corre t...no damage or anything?

You can also remove your air box lid...then try a 150/155 jetting...just a thought..

but i need to know if it will hurt it without being jetted and the baffle removed

Whats your elevation....they will normally run a little hotter if they are to lean..as long as you don't ride the pi$$ out of it it might be o.k.

you know hon estly i dont know...im in valdosta ga.....if i wer ehome i oculd tell you sea level cause im from the beach....but i dunno

well if you get it and it seems to run fine and not extremely hot i would just leave it, i modified my endcap on my ds sort of like taking the baffle out of the raptor and its running a bit lean just a tiny bit but its fine i wouldnt worry about it ask the guy you got it from if he rejetted, you can always put the baffle back in and run it stock
