2001 Raptor Reverse Light Blinking?
I do know if you over rev your engine the reverse light will blink. Then if you roll the bike it will stop. Its a warning sign that you are over reving your engine and not going any where. Either that or you sensor is bad. Roll the bike next time and see if it stops, if it doesnt then its the sensor, make sure its plugged in. I believe its the one down by your front sprocket.

some guy told me that i was the safety deal on your reverese that doesnt let you go any faster and shuts down your engine, and he said that it got screwed up and does it when your riding it, and that the bike wont run the same as it ran before. that you must bypass something on the sensor, because if you dont you wont get the same performance that you get, like it will start missfireing.

i had by passed my reverse rev limter a long time ago by grounding the green wire with a white strip to the frame the wire comes out of your rev box it runs up to where you front and rear fenders meat on the shifter side. if u remove your front fender you will see where it pluge into another plug in and thats where i grounded it out to the fram and the only problem is the reverse lightdosnt come on. when i flipped it over all of a suddin it started blinking so i figured it was my bypass so i unhooked it and hooked it back up and every thing is fine

Theres a wire below the moror case towards the rear..... look down there feel around.... you will see a wire either hanging, or you will see a right angle conenctor to the case, pop it open and look in it and make sure the wire is touching properly.
