Buck, I wish I could figure out a way to have my wife build up my thumb muscle and cook at the same time LOL! The thumb thing goes away after about 15 minutes of riding... but if I had to make a choice of easier thumb throttle or faster quad, I'm riding the YFZ and dealing with my friends harrass me for the whining!

As far as picking a quad, 68man, you started out saying "I am kind've leaning towards the YFZ because now that my one friend just got his 450r, all of my friends are trying to get one. I can't decide!". Now your saying "I'm actually leaning towards the 450r, however. I dunno, it feels bigger and seems like it would suit me better, on the MX track or not.". It is kind of funny because the overwhelming opinion has been in favor of the YFZ.

Well they are both great quads and a blast to ride, good luck with your decision.

Why dont you just go to the sport bike or buying info forums. Yamaha and Honda boys are just going to be bias about it. I know I am.

 

The thumb and the seat aren't really a issue for me, only for really long rides, I mean REALLY REALLY long rides!! When are you geting one of these quads, because nobody has mention that in 2006 the YFZ will be turn in into a true 450, those extra 11cc may help it or not. Well, yeah it's true, if you post this on the Honda forum, of course they would say go with the R, but I personally don't like, the suspension will carry you pretty good when going slow, but at high speeds, I didn't like it, but remember this is just my opinion.

 

Hey BUCK183, aren't you the one who was deciding between the banshee or the YFZ? Just curious.
