i wish i could find a motor out of one of those bikes.i could make real good use of that blaster rolling chassis in the backyard

yeah i have seen that, if you are looking for a blaster motor go to www.projectblaster.com and then in the 4-sale section they have a few motors still for sale in there

Why not go all out and drop a old IT490 2 stroke motor in her. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

not a bad idea. i have heard those engines are very strong runners

i've heard of people doing this but does the engine mount up or do you have to make mounts and etc.?

my a few friends built a warrior with an fzr600 motor in it but it took a lot of modification to the frame and suspension

The IT490 is similar to the DT, which is essentially the same as the blaster. It could be easily done. It's still air cooled so you don't have to mess around with the rad and all the other **** that comes with it. The pipe set-up is very similar. I've seen it done, and they go like a scared rabit. It wouldn't be hard, I mean there would be some challenge to it, but the designs of the motor are similar. It would probably be one of the easier project bikes to build

As for the liquid cooled blaster, why? You can make your arguments but to me air cooled is the way to go on a single cylinder 2 stroke. Alot less trouble and easier to work with. If your that concerned about your engine heating up on a blaster then maybe you should look into why thats happening instead of jumping into a LC design. Usually they tend to run pretty cold when compared to other sport quads.
