Default stage 2 cam gone bad!!

tried to start the rappy after I charge the battery, and it wont start at all and it back fired like a bomb went off, I pulled the plug and it aws covered in gas but it was sparking strong, so I pulled the cover to check the valves and timing, OOPPPPPSSSSS!!! the rocker arm is broke on the middle intake valve and the piece is just laying there. I decided to take the whole valve cover off (like i had a choice) and it looks bad the camis junk(again) and the cover has cracks and chuncks missing on the rocker bosses. Got to pull the head now to check the piston and valves to see what happened. The two outer piston valve reliefs show wear but the middle relief is very clean so I think the rocker has been broke since the last race when I started having trouble with the starter. This explains why i had to drop down to a 150/155 main to get it jeted right, I was running on two valves!! So now I need a new rocker cover new cam and some cometic gaskets, and I cant ride again, any body got a hook up??

pressure was good, I just checked the head real close and I think it has been milled for more compression and that caused the valve to kiss the piston and break the rocker, then everything else just went south after that.

You guys....the same exact thing happened to my bf's Rappy after he installed a Hotcam stage 2 - he had a higher compression piston in it that should have worked fine......everything was set up the way it was supposed to be.....valves started hitting the piston and BANG!!! NO more piston/valves, etc - this happened within 10 minutes of running the quad.......everything's scored all to hell.....now he has to do it all over again......still trying to figure out what went wrong - everything should have been alright!

Ummm, didnt we address this issue in a thread a week or so ago and find the actual reasons for the middle intake valve issue?

That could be the reason for the problem.

This was my reply to that thread....
The deal on shortening the intake guide was cleared up to me when I spoke with a rep for Hot Cams. Some Raptors do not have the center intake guide pressed down far enough and some do. There is a little springy metal keeper that slips on the guide. If the keeper is flush with the head, then you are OK. I could see a guide to high causing the spring to bind creating a FUBR situation.
Warwgn also mentions he thinks the head has been shaved as well....which opens up a whole 'nuther can of worms.
