Default LTE dual pipes???

the lte pipes got one of the worst reviews ever in dirt rider, they said they were consistently 20 seconds slower than the dr. d pipe.they are twice as heavy and twice as expensive as other top brands.if i had that kind of money to spend i would go with the trs pro ti pipe or the white bros. carbon fiber race exhaust,or the ct pipe.

My opinion.....Sparks X-6 big core or the infamous Tim Barker stainless steel true duals...one pipe coming out each side of the motor...(not for the meek or weak of wallet)(usually special order)...

The LTE's are great pipes, but are a few hp shy of the big boys; sparks and ct.

I havent seen the outcome from the new duals so I cant comment on them.

Those are the ones I am talking about (TIM BARKER), I have the Sparks Pipe and really dont want to add more weight but if they claim to have more HP and are much quieter it will be a must to have.

Ditto....

We ride on Sunday afternoon's at a place in Oklahoma. There is usually between 30-50 quads drag racing here in the afternoon at any given time. There are a handfull of YFZs that hang there. Of all the YFZs, the slowest one is running the LTE pipes. This thing is A LOT slower than the other ones too.

Might be different on other bikes though. I just haven't read much good about them.

Buck

Default LTE dual pipes???

I bought my 05' Raptor a month ago. I debated a long time even before I bought my bike about which pipe to get for it. As far as Dirt Rider is concerned is sucks b/c there testing for race results. LTE has proven to add pony's but just like Dirt Rider said there not in the right places. I finally decided to go ahead and get them and here's why.....

I don't race, I trail ride so no concern about max performance. I was running a stock pipe before so of course I saw a bunch of power difference. Most importantly (to me).... and we all should agree, they look sweet on all breeds of machines. When I hit that start button the sound that erupted from those pipes was amazing. I can compare it to a KFX700 with dual yoshi's (friends bike). The LTE 's are a touch louder but still carry a deep smooth tone. Through the trails its not obnoxious either.

As far as the jetting. I also had problems. I called Randy from LTE and he walked me right through my problems. Something you should get from any company after dropping off hard earned money. The pipes are pricey. However, I look at it as its really 2 pipes. The dual Yoshi's for the V-Force was almost 800.00 last year. One pipe is around 400.00 right! At least thats how I make myself feel better for spending that much dough. My cost to the front door was 685.00 I'm happy. People constantly stop me wanting to ask question's. So for a weekend warrior it makes the day. I have heard if you have a 696 those pipes really help! I'm not that advanced yet.

If anybody wants I will send them pics of my raptor with those pipes.

As much as I love my duals Im sorry but I just cant compare them to the sound the V-force makes...the V-force will always sound better caus of its 2 cilinder "V" engine...
