Who cares who's faster? GO ride. Whether you are riding red, blue, yellow, and green. Just get out and ride. Don't sit here and argue about the faster quads. If someone with a Raptor wants to ride with me, be my guest. I just want people to ride with. Enough from me. I'm going riding.

Yea,but they always handle and jump 10 times better than any Yamaha, just look at any shootout
comparison. When i was in the market for a new utility ATV i went to the dealer to purchase a Y2K Kodiak 4x4.I took it for a test ride and thought that it was pretty nice, when i returned to do the paperwork he just rolled out this new ATV from Honda called a Rancher ES.He said take it for a spin we just put it togeather. The Honda was not quite as fast as the Kodiak but it handled much better, rode smoother and felt like it fit me better egronomically than the Kodiak,so i bought a Rancher ES 4x4 instead of a Kodiak. The Kodiak had a weird vibration flutter from the belt drive tranny and the Honda was smooth.Straight line speed means nothing if the rest of the over all package is not as good. The dealer told me that he sells more Rancher ATV's than any other, hands down.He has a waiting list 10 Deep For a 4x4 ES Rancher.

Rancher ES? If there was a shootout between a rancher and a Kodiak 4x4, the Kodiak would WIN in every category, (except maybe price). It already beat their flagship i.e. 450es in all aspects in a shootout so the rancher couldn't beat it. Honda does make nice utilities though, I just don't like fulltime 4x4 personally.

Yamaha guys have nothing to wory about if it is a 650EX (They are in for a big surprice because its not what its goin to be. I am almost positive it is a 4x4 recon). Honda needs to build a whole new engine to put in sport quad frame because the XR engines are not goin to cut it. The other bike is goin to be a 400cc 4 stroke to compete with the YZ426.

I dont know about a 400cc dirt bike, I heard that this is the last year of the CR500 and they are going to introduce a new 500cc 4 stroke motor.

Too bad, the CR500 was a nice bike/engine design.
