I live in minnesota and as of 9/8/00 still no raptor. I'm first on the list at cycle city in rochester, but still no raptor. My point is that say that I get my raptor tomorrow (yea right), I'll only be able to ride it for a month or so and then I will have to store it for the winter. You only get a six month warranty. So I'm considering pulling my deposit and getting one next spring so I can get use out of my full 6 month warranty. What do you think?

It all depends on how bad you want the Raptor.

Either buy the extended warranty now, or I'd be willing to bet that Yamaha will send you a "reminder" letter at about 5 months, offering you the extended warranty again.

Just my thoughts, (Of course, I've never had to use a warranty before, they usually don't break until they are 6 months and 3 days old.....)

I had a 98 Warrior with the standard 6 month warranty. In addition, I bought the 4 year warranty that was fully refundable. Not a bad deal in my eyes. I seriously doubt that other manufactures do that sort of thing.

Just my 2cts...
