Well I went to the third clip and the hesitation is gone. I pulled the old plug right before I started it and installed a new plug. I only ran it for a couple minutes so I'm not sure if I got a good reading. There is still white on the new plug but it's starting to turn brown in the front and making its way around so I'll try it again tomorrow(my neighbors dont really like the YOSH lol). Anyways thanks for all the replies and I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. The plugs are now in my profile page.

your plug looks ok, maybe a tad rich but seems close from the pic.

05raptor...... or anyone who knows. When you say you just re-jetted your bike and have 3 turns out? What does that mean. What can you turn 3 turns out. I'm in the process of jetting mine as disclosed in earlier post. I have installed the 155/160 main jets and new needles but haven't turned anything out. Thnx.

Its the air/fuel mixture screw, sometimes called air correction I believe, its on the bottom of the carbs and is external, althought its easier to turn when you take the carbs out. Usually its 2.25 to 3 turns out. Turn them all the way in to seat them then turn them back out. Good luck.

mixture screws are INSIDE the carbs. Each carb has one. If you are turning the screw outside, thats just your idle speed, that makes your idle higher or lower. I might be wrong.

I've had my carbs apart several times this past week. I don't remember seeing any adjustment screw on the outside of the carbs. Am I right? I think my needle clip setting is about right, but I think it could use some fine tuning. I might be running just a little bit rich. Moving a whole clip on the needle seems to make an extreme change one clip either direction. So wheres this screw adjustment at?

The mixture screws are on the bottom of the carbs, can't see them unless you flip them over, they can be adjusted without taking the carbs apart, but are pretty hard to get to with everything around them.

I do believe the instructions call for 146/148 with the lid on(snorkel trimmed) and some holes in the airbox

if you run w/out the lid, you need to increase main jets

also, the needles control midrange and main jets control topend

so it sounds like an adjustment to the clip position to me
