Default raptor hesitation

Ok I just installed a Yoshimura Comp full exhaust. Rejetted to 160 165 dynojets 4th clip 3 turns out. It runs great now but theres a hesitation in the middle. Low end and top end are fun just mid. Any ideas?? Too lean?? I'm also at around 500 ft elevation. Thanks.

Sounds rich to me. Are those the settings that Dyno-Jet recommends?

I have a full FMF system on my 01,and they recommend their 146, and 148 mains, third clip and three turns out. Runs perfect

I tried those settings and it was running lean. Head pipe turned a blueish purple when it cooled and the plug had a little white on it. I'm wondering if the third clip would be better?

Third clip would lean er out a fuzz. The biggest jet that came with my stage 2 kit was 150. Its kinda pain in the a$$ to jerk the carbs off, so its nice when ya finally git er dialed in. Just seems to me that your mains are too big.

i would pull the carbs and be sure that the vaccum slides are going up and down smoothly

a little sand can mess those things up pretty good

I had the dynojet kit on mine along time ago, always had problems, took it out and used the GYTR kit and it ran alot better, I would think about using the original style jets. Also check your floats, alot of them are set so that the bowls are to full, that would flood mine out and cause tuning problems.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try the third clip and see how it does. I have the stage II kit also and I ordered extra jets when the 148 150 didnt work right. So if I'm understanding everybody right, you seem to think its too rich and not too lean?? I really dont want melt down my engine seeing how its only a couple months old. IF anyone has a full yosh and the dynojet kit and has it running right please let me know what your running.

I also have on 05 Raptor. I just put LTE duals on it and has jetting problems. They recommended the 4th clip. Which turns out it was way to rich. Randy from LTE said go to the 2nd. It started to backfire and hesitate so I went down to the third. It seems to be pretty good. I have been judging it by the spark plugs mostly. I would try the third clip on a fresh plug. Pull it out after a quick run and let me know what you've got. I'm also at around 450-500 ft elevation so Im super curious what you find.

Also... I have 155/160 mains
