What's the RPM range of these things?

Is there a hook-up so i can instal an RPM guage?

The Rev-Limiter is set at 9,000rpm, so thats their red line. and to hook up a tach you need a Dyna CDI.

Northern has one Here for $37.00. I have one for setting idle speed on engines when adjusting carbs. It works well and you should be able to fab a mount for it for just about anything.

I think it updates every 2 sec. I never paid attention as to how quick it read from around 1K to upper revs. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll hook it up and check.
It uses a ground wire and signal wire you just wrap a few turns around the spark plug wire. Internal battery (the unit is sealed, not replaceable) is supposed to be good for 5 years.

They work ok. I have them on my quads and they are slow to react, and because they are digital, and not analog...they are tough to read when your winding it out. The revs build fast and the tach doesnt seem to keep up, until it tops out for a sec or two. They do work good for cruising and for setting idle speed.
And they are cheap, and only require one wire, which wraps around the spark plug wire.
