hot cams for a raptor???????

are these worth the money? what kind of power gains can i expect? how hard is instalation? how does it affect reliabilaty? my bike is stock and im fixin to replace the one-way with a L&A and was thinking bout getting a stage 1 hot cams kit, and soon adding either the alba, sparks or ct full exhaust with pro flow kit. should i go ahead and pick up the cams or not?
whats the difference between stage 1,2 and 3? should i change to better gas if i get these? and what about jetting? Thanks Cody

Stage 1 helps the mid range alot
Stage 2 its more topend (you have to get new springs)
Stage 3? i dunno not many people talk about hterm
Yea, I think its worth it, its going to be on the yfz one of these days
Power? I don't know the figures, but your going to feel it, especially in the higher rpms
Installing? Never done it, but if you have 1)time 2)patience 3)a good manual; you could do it (provided you have the right tools)
Reliability? hummmmmm not sure, most engine mods affect the reliabilty but i'm not sure about the cams. sorry
If your bike is engine wise stock, i'd go with stage 1, but if you plan to put a High comp piston, go ahead with stage 2 imo.
Gas? your standard 91 octane will do fine, unless you raise the comp >11:1
Jetting? I have no clue sorry

First off, there is no Hotcam Stage 3. At least that the public knows of.
Second, there is only one cam, not cams.
Third, do a search and you will find mounds of info on hotcams. There are three other threads on hotcams at the top of the page now.

already searched it gets old.
ok so if i get a stage 1 kit will it be alright to install it before i have my exhaust and pro flow kit and jetting done?
I dont plan on changing the compression or bore anytime soon, maybe in the distant future. So i will probably go ahead and order a stage 1.
and i guess reliabilty is the biggest issue, if is gonna be less reliable than i wll hae to pass otherwise i will order it with my L&A one-way kit.

It shouldn't affect reliablity at all.
You will have to rejet to get your full money's worth out of the cam. (getting the jets right is the hard part when hopping up a raptor) It pays to have it dyno tuned when you get all of your mods bolted on. Usually about $100.

what kind of place can i get it dynoed at? I live in Texas almost to the oklahoma border, are ther any places within 3 hours form me that can do it? Should i wait till i get my exhaust and proflow before i get the hot cam and install it? How much would a dealer charge me to do this? Thanks in advance.

call around in Dallas or Tyler, you should be able to find someone with a dyno if that is really what you really whant to do. I think trial and error on jets is the best way to go, unless you got the money to spend.

not hard at all, just do a search on jets and you will find all the info needed! Basicly just go up on you mains untill it pulls hard at wide open throttle, you will have to go up and down on the jets to find what runs the best. then turn your air fuel out to 2 1/2 turns and find the pilot jets that sound the best at idle. then adjust the clip on your needles for the best response from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle, and your done. now go ride for a day bring it home and check the plug to see how it looks just to make sure everthing is good, if not change the mains to richen or lean as required by the plug. Make sure you always have a clean air filter when doing jet changes. Thats all there is to it, no matter weather you got a dyno or not, all a dyno does is give you numbers to go by instead of feel so it is technicaly more acurate, but the same process is used.
