Default Ice Screws

I had a question about ice screws, i was planning on picking just the rear or is it worth getting the front done to? How do i know what size to get and how many do i put in the tire. Also are these hard to put in and where do i get them.

if u just put screws in the rear you will just push the front tires around so should put a light amount onto the contach area. Magic racing is running pretty good deals on screw and so is rockey mountaine atv. as fars how many it depends on tour ridein conditons/prefrences if you want to take off ok and still do donuts spread them out alot if u want to ride the ice and have it like being on pavment then put alot closer togather. as far as length if u go compltley throuh the tire you will have less of a chance of pulling them out but u will have to use a tire sealer like slime. if you set it up for just putting them into the tire lugs and not all the way through you wont need a tire sealer but you may lode studs after a ride ar if u use a nobby tire you may rip the nobby off

you must do the fronts, unless you only want to go in a straight line. we've been running the lakes and rivers sense the 15th and it seems like this ice is slicker this year for one reason or another. Camshaft has got it right, the more the better because you will have better traction and less will rip out. the cheapest route is just to suck it up and buy the 1000 pack, in the long run it is cheaper than 4 250 packs. i went with 1/2 inch studs so they didnt go all the way through the tire, i have about 7 hours on them and i have not had one tear out yet, but that all depends on how hard the compound of your tire is. I used a 1/4" nutdriver bit in my cordless drill with the clutch set at 1 so i wouldnt strip them out, any local shop should have studs.
