06 blaster going to 4 stroke
When i did hear about this law it was a long time ago.. but i think i remember hearing something about 2 strokes still being allowed to be produced for racers.. and you could only buy them with proof that you were using it for racing or something.. idk though.. this was a few months ago.. i dont really remember.. i think i remember seeing the exact law at atvoutdoors.net somewhere.. maybe ill search that in a few.

They have to make another Blaster because that is the only thing in the 250 class they have. The Banshee will be missed, but it is not necessasry to fill the void with another bike. They already have the Raptor 350.
So they have a 250, 350, 450, and a 660. Until something comes along to thrash their 450, Yamaha really has nothing to worry about.
dont forget the raptor 50 and 80, lol

How much do you think they would charge for this YFZ250 we all imagine with the YZ250f motor and such.. I mean.. they couldnt keep it as cheap as the blaster possibly, could they? Im guessing around $4,000, because they have to stay around they 250ex and the suzuki 250 somewhat, or else it almost defeats the purpose of working to stay in the 250cc class. What do yall think?

i have nothing against raptor 350s... just incase anyone thought i did

If they are making a blaster 4-stroke what about the banshee.....If Banshees turned into 4-strokes then they wouldnt even be able to compete with quads like they do now.

I thought they designed the YFZ450 to take the place of the banshee, isnt that why they are backing it so heavily in all the races??

The yfz wasnt created as a replacement for anything. It was created as a race quad for use in pro and ameatuer competition along with performance minded consumers. The banshee was never made for anything but straight line and desert racing.
