Default 800 Yamaha for 2006!

A Polaris engine in a Yamaha???!!! Thats gotta be the funniest thing I've EVER heard!!! Come on guys, use your head here, its pretty obvious that isn't gonna happen. Anyway, I'm pretty excitied to see it, I'm sure it will look even tougher than the Grizz.

The service mgr at my dealer said he has heard about this since last fall.It is going to happen. The engine he thought was a version of something they were already using in something else....maybe in Europe. He did say like everyone else that it is an 800 twin EFI.Now......do you drop the Grizz?? 450 to 800 leaves a big gap in the market place.I think they should find a way to get the Grizz motor in the new Kodiak chassis!......just a thought Kodiak 450 and a Kodiak 660...

The 660 Grizz will stay in the lineup, it won't change. the new 800 is suppose to be totally different with a new name and look nothing like the Grizz. And the way it looks there ain't going to be a v twin, side by side. Which sucks.

the rhino is strong enough......IMO.....it will out run/pull the 700 twin efi ranger XP....just if they made it ride/handle like all the ranger 4x4s......then yamaha would have a real machine

It could easily based on the old Yamah TDM 850 motor. It is a parallel twin (like the Polaris so maybe that's where the assumption came from).
