ok, got a friend with an old yamaha quad. Has no plastics, so I cant identify it. I have searched t for the brand tag with vin # and model, but found nothing. All I need to know is the model if anyone knows how to find it with the engine #s. Heres what i found.

2HX- 98cm3

2hx - 82590 - 00

Those are the only numbers I found. If anyone can identify this quad, please let me know.
Thanks. Ryan

Ill try, but I should have been able to recognize it if its possible, cause I can name just about every one, but if it helps, I will.
Also, its a four stroke......if that helps also.

Is it an older machine? Does it have a manual or auto clutch tranny? Does it have a forward/revese lever on the left side of the engine? Describe it to me. It sounds similar to an 86 yamaha moto 4 200 I used to have.

Just because it has a Yamaha seat doesn't mean it is a yamaha, I have seen some mix matched rigs before!
