Default Wolverine sputters real bad

I have a 2004 wolverine and when I first start it, even when it was warm outside, it wants to sputter real bad. I have to run it on choke for 10 minutes before I can take it off. If I take the choke off and then try to take off the motor dies unless it is really warmed up. Do I need to change some jetting specs? I live in Columbus, OH.

Where is the mixture screw set? Is it totally stock? Air box lid is on?Most likely, going a 1/4 turn or a little more, out (richer), will improve things.
As the temperature falls, the mixtures need to be richer.
Try the mixture screw and let us know if that fixes it.

Mixture screw is still stock. Air box lid is still on. Actually the whole bike is still stock. I will try the mixture screw tonight when I get home from work. To turn the mixture screw it takes a small flat head screwdriver, right?

Yep, and sometimes it can be really hard to get a small screwdriver in there, because of clearance issues. A #4 flat bit, and just fingers, will also work. That screw doesnt have alot of resistance, and is easy to turn.
Old gas can cause these problems too, so try to use fresh gas. Anything over 2 months old, is suspect.
