Has anyone gotten a quote from their insurance agent on Full Coverage for the beast yet? I always get insurance, because the deductible is usually easier to digest, then a new four wheeler if it gets ripped off.

I currently insure my 2000 400EX for 158 a year, with 200 dollar deductable.

Any input would be great

I just insured mine, but it was somewhat higher at $236.00 . Still, that isn't bad for peace of mind and that's full coverage. Oh, by the way, THE DEALER CALLED TODAY AND I GOT MY RAPTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was expecting to wait until at least late October, but because of special circumstances that I can't divulge, I got it today...............

I will be paying $170 a year with $200 deduct. through PMI. I finally got a hold of Yamaha (the 800# RaptorDude660 got his info from) and the guy I spoke with couldn't give me any info on ship dates, he said my dealer should have the best info. I hope he's right that means THIS WEEK...

I use Erie Insurance, and get discounts for the usual, Married, Multiple Vehicle, Over 28, Safe Driver (Yeah Right)

I would expect to pay right around the 160 mark with my 200 deductable, but will let you know in two months, when I get the thing

The reason mine is so cheap is because i am still in college and under my parents insurance, I have full theft coverage but only $3000 (amount of loan) collision coverage. I f it would be in my name and full coverage everything it would have been $240 per year

For 158 a year, My 400EX is covered for Full Comp and Collision, including theft. (But, again, having multiple cars, a good driving record, living in a low crime area of the country, being almost 30 years old, two kids....blah blah, all factors in.)

But then again, I haven't gotten a quote on my new machine yet, I might be as shocked as you YaMaHaRaPtOr

BigCrashChris,
Hey man we should get together and ride sometime. I live in Marathon, NY which is between Syracuse and Binghamton. About the insurance thing I called Progressive and they want $436 a year for my Raptor with $500 deductable. I paid $360 per year for my 400ex. Sounds to me like I'm getting screwed.
