Default Raptor.. does it have to be tipsy ?

For anyone interested in gaining Width in front of their raptor for free this is how you do it! Take the rims off, then add 3 Metal washers to each stud, put rim back on! lol, it works perfect, nothing hits and it adds awsome width!

You could get a stock banshee axle and put it in.

Stock banshee axle is the same length as a raptors.

Changing the front wheel offset on the raptor makes it handle like **** and you won't notice a difference in cornering. You need to widen the back.

Raptors are tippy? Not mine. Look for a +4 axle on ebay. It'll make a world of difference.

How would it make it handle worse? it will make it wider which = more stability.

It fcks up the ackerman steering geometry. It increases steering effort and the trial forces transmit into the handlebars by adding scrub radius. It causes you to ride with your fists clinched causing fatigue. It will still lift the inside rear wheel in the turns just as much, but now you have to fight it more to point the bike where you want to go unless you ride soley on smooth pavement.

If you want the front wider, the only non redneck way to do it is with +2 arms.

Just widen the back. That = stablility

Just my opinion based on experience. Experiment for yourself if you wish.

Yeah money is always an issue. Try back wheel spacers.

This is the way to go. Period.
I have em on my bike and they work GREAT with NO problems, And they are inexpensive.
You will NEVER break one no matter how much you jump. You could even MX with em on.
They have been making these for years and have NOT had a single one break.

You can pick up an axle for around 200-400 bucks, depending on brand. I would suggest that, its the right way to do something. Ive had experience with spacers on cars, they suck IMO.
