does anyone know were you can buy a new motor for a quad i mean the whole motor ready to set on its a kawasaki bayou 300.

 

if you get lucky you might be able to find a slightly used motor just a thought

 

It will be pretty hard to find one, what's wrong with that one? Just rebuild it, or if not, just put a streetbike motor in it. You'll go through anything. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

IT'S just wore out and my dad just doesnt want to let it go for some reason he can buy a new he has plenty of cash but he also squeaks when he walks lol .But I am so tierd of working on this thing im bout to lose it and the motor sounds like its knocking when you get it in a bind and i cant just not fix it when there,s any thing wrong with it because i enjoy rideing with him and on top of working on his im working on a 230 quad sport for my nephew to ride and im working on a lt 125 for my other nephew to ride so my hands are being over worked but if i can get them to run it will be worth it because there nothing like being with family and atvs is the only thing half my family can do togather without fighting lol.

 

cant you get a new crate motor ? We did for our truck , but must be cant for quads ? anyways ied just trade it in or rebuild it

 

IVE looked and looked for a complete new motor i was going to buy it for him if I found one but I cant find one no were. Guess i just need to put in some over time and sign my name to a new one for him.

 

well ask a dealer if you can get a crate motor for it

 

my warrior will b running perfect by next week soo if u want i would sell u mine fer 1400 or so.. even tho u live in alabama we could meet in cinncinati its half way my dad drives down to cinnci atleast once a month soo he would no how to get there

 

If money isnt an issue and you are sick of working on it then either buy a new one or take the existing one to a mechanic and have him fix it all up. You could also buy another one and pirate the engine from it, but that would be silly unless the other one is otherwise in worse shape.
