There is a local store in around me that sells good used 4 wheelers. Right now they have a 2001 660 raptor for 3,650 and in the magizine they say its in great shape.They have a dvx 400 2004 for 3,800 and they have an 04 kfx 700 for 4,350.Out of all of them which one is the best deal and which one is the best quad for trail riding but racing my friends everynow and then at our home track?

This has been debated many many times, i would personaly go with the rappy, then Ds, then KFX, but do what you please.

Stay away from the 01 Raptor. Too many problems that year. Get the dvx400, V-Force is going to be too big for you.

 

From the options you listed and your intentions with the quad I'd say the 400 is the way to go as well.

 

DVX 400 is one of the best all around bikes. The Raptor is a great bike to but unless your getting a 02 tranny conversion i'd stick with the 400. The KFX is a cool bike, automatic, but i heard they're pretty good, a tad to bike. I sat on one at a dealer and i'm 5'8"ish and i felt a little uncomforable but i still could ride it.

 

I would go with the DVX even though I have a raptor, not only did it have tranny rpoblems it also had clutch and starting problems and some more. The DVX is good for trails, and could be use for raicng too. I don't like the V-Force but your 14 right, and it maight be to heavy for you. So there's my opinion.

 

the most reliable and fastest is the dvx 400 it clocks at 82 mph the rappy 74mph and the kfx 71 mph (all stock) the dvx will be quite a load to handle but you will have alot of fun!!!

 

No offense but what have you been smoking man? A DVX doing 84, your crazy man, not even a stock zilla hit that kind of speed. Try more low 70's.

 

we tried a STOCK dvx 400 at my cottage on a 12 mile straight track using a gps and i hit 139 my friend hit 141 km (82 - 84 mph) and a quad zilla wasnt built for speed!!! go look at the bike stats then come back and try to tell me im wrong
