Your kick starter is souposed to move a tiny bit before it catchs the gear anyway. Odds are it's the spring, not the gear itself.

 

I havent been able to go out and look at it because of the rain, but as soon as it stops im going to check it out. I think that the kick start just went out because it was riding fine befor it went out. I 'm sure that as soon as i get a look at it im going to need help figuring out how to fix it so ill be asking more questions then.
