Alright I can go fast, but I first have to start moving. Whats the best way to preform a launch on a raptor. I can start from standing still pretty fast but not as fast as I would want to. I was wondering if launching was a good idea or does it use up your tranny and clutch quick..

I don't ride in Arlington Hts, All it is, is streets and houses, and bitchy cops lol. I have a summer house in Wisconsin. When I first got my raptor I drove it around here but what fun is it when you have cops looking for you and neighbors complaining.

 

Do you come through Lake County to get through to Wisconsin?

 

I am not sure but I have a summer house in midwisconsin, right on lake petenwell, about 10 miles south of Wisconsin Rapids. I take I90 then 39 to get up there

 

well what type of terrain will you be taking off on?

 

Probably pavement.

 

I asked a while ago.. The answer i got was 2nd hard your front wheels wont come up that easily and it will eliminate you shifting to 2nd so you can just go up to 3rd lol

 

launch in 2nd. dont just let the clutch out slowly, dump it at like 1/2 throtle, or as much as you can without spinning the tires. and lean forward a lil bit

i made the mistake once if popping the clutch with about 3/4 throttle in 1st gear on pavement.......threw me off the back, quad took off by itself riding on the grabbar (which broke). my back hurt for about a week.
