Lets just say there are much more efficent ways to get that much or more power. Its just as much if not more show than go, and I would be quite suspicious of anyone who tells you differently.

BTW, not all of us are scared of what others online will think of us or our posts. Zim is entitled to his opinon on the rocket whether the alba guy likes it or not.

 

first of all i wasnt talking crap, i was quoting what people were saying about it on here (mechanics) ill post the thread if i find it....and honestly if i really was talking crap on here about him and he saw i couldnt care less...they said it didnt do anything and the guy in the video lied about what it was burning...lemme find the link

 

I believe he said he was burning a mixture of nitrous and something else. Maybe air, maybe fuel of some kind, I cant remember.

 

The "Rocket Raptor" is owned by Terry Wilmeth. His forum name is afterburner. He is a real nice guy and certainly knows his stuff when it comes to rocket powered locomotion. He and I had very lengthy discussions concerning his JATO assisted raptor. Like many I was very skeptical about its abilities but I can see some application for it.

Well I don't really want to see it, because that kind of stuff doesn't interest me, so thanks anyways, just don't find any of that interesting.

 

i saw that a while ago and i can remember a little about it. im not sure but i think i remember something about the rocket not adding as much power as one would think. when you hear "rocket raptor" you think of it being all fast and it is... but that is not the biggest rocket. is that raptor running on NOS too or is the NOS just powering the rocket? i thought the rocket was powered by nitrogen or something? he has more than one bottle on the raptor. the fins are for show and to hide the big bottle on the seat. i dont know think the rocket raptor was designed mostly to be really fast but just as much to be cool and different. how many rocket powered quads do you know of? anyways, its a really cool idea [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

after reading the posts from that tread with afterburner i see that the rocket raptor WAS made to go fast. that thread will answer most of your questions if your interested...
