Raptor - want more power what do you suggest?
#1
I have a WB R4 slip on, K&N with pro-adaptor, and re-jetted to accomodate. It runs fine but I'm finding myself wanting a lot more power especially on the top end. I'm thinking of having the engine rebuilt later this spring. Any suggestions?

Get a good head pipe, better yet sell the slip on and get a good full pipe. Remove your airbox lid if you havent already and your riding conditions allow. Throw in a stage 1 hotcam for a mild pickup or add a higher compression piston for a more dramatic power boost. Those will give you a lot more midrange, but if you want top end get a pipe that offers it and switch to a stage 2 hotcam or similarly aggresive webcam.

why'll you have the motor open, get an 11:1 piston (pump gas) and put in a Hotcam Stage 2 and KibbleWhite Valve springs and it will really open up the top end, and get a full exhaust, it adds top end alot toO

I've removed my air box lid but just riped my pre-filter so it's back on until I get another. I'm going to try one of these lids.
I can get the head pipe from my local dealer and match it to my WB slip on. What other full system is recommended?
If I get a stage 2 cam, 11:1 piston, and valve springs is this easy enough to do myself or should I have some else do it?
