Okay....So I'm guessing the Camaro has a 2" drop and not 2'......I thought it was gonna have tires sticking outta the top of the fenders, really slammed down. Nice ride, I had a '67 back in '80.
Have a good one

Nice '67 I have a '70 Chevelle that I have been building for 4 years, it's no where near complete but it runs and is in primer. I spent 2 years with the frame tubbing and narrowing it to accept 33/19.5/15 tires, they are monsters. I run a 383 with forged bottom end, TRW 13:1 pistons, Dart Iron eagle heads 215 runners 2.05/1.60's Ported out, Victor JR intake with a 750 Holley DP, roller solid cam 618/622 lift 260/270 duration, roller lifters, roller rockers. It takes a lot of time to build a race car, it's well worth it in the end.. I don't really plan on racing myn. My friend is building a '68, he's putting so much $$ into it, it's crazy. It will be like a brand new car when it's finished. I think your HP figures are a little out of reality, if it's your first engine don't shoot that high or you might end up under a white sheet. To achieve 600-700hp would take around 10K I'd shoot for the 450 mark and build a pump gas motor and you would have a very bad car. Good luck.. Paul

it was dynoed wit the old motor at 350.....now i got a corvette 327 bored .40 over wit Cams, 11:1 pistons, all new valving, porting, eldlebrock carb(sellin a 650 Holly DP) n intake, MSD igintion and coil, stroker kit, and alot of little things. I called vortec and they promised me 650hp with a supercharger but i got to finish the rest of the car first. Right now im focus on brakes and suspension. I did a 2" drop spindle, new control arms, new high performance steering, kyb (i think) shocks, sloted and vented rotors, 4 piston calibers (big diff from old shot drums!!)
it has a 10bolt possi rear end with 4:10 gearing and MT Slicks for drags (gonna get more "street" tires even though these are DOT approved)
when i do take it to the track it will be just for shyts and giggles lol.....not too serious (cant kill my baby, more of cruz night/date getter)
remeber gass didnt kill the muscle cars (now cars use more!!!) INSURANCE DID!!!!!
the main reason for this car: build an insane car that no one has, make people look, and never have to back down from a race, n I LOVE CARS (n quads)
(edit) I forgot about the traction bars, cowl hood, and soon a very custom interior. The only problem so far is head unit mounting for steroe. We are building a fiberglass center consol to dash peice. It will be amazing if it ever gets done. It should have the gauges, swiches, 2 spekers, and a head unit all it one trick peice
Otherwise we are taking a 2000-2004 camaro center dash cover and rebuilding it to fit and look clean
