Default Quick but IMPORTANT question

I am planning on tearin my motor down on my banshee and porting the cylinders and new pistons and stuff...is it mandatory that i weld the crank??? I can have it done for $50 but i dont want to have to split my cases...

You shouldnt need to unless you are going with some serious copmression, nitrous, etc.

thats what i was thinking but alot of ppl are telling me i gotta weld my crank and some are telling me that i dont have too...

Default Quick but IMPORTANT question

I know lots of people with 30 over banshees and higher than stock compression cool heads running w/ stock crank setup, no welds and no problems. It really shouldnt be necessary.
