You can warm the intake boots up with a hair dryer and then slide the carb's on and hold them in place while the intakes cool back down...that's how I got my 35mm fcr's on the stock boots.

Or you can buy some UPP intake boots for $79.

I had the same problem when i was going through the jetting nightmare. When i got the jetting right the problem stopped,,,. You need to make sure that the boots are all the way on the carbs,,,there is a groove, i believe , on the inside of the boots that mates up with the raised part on the carbs. Prolly would hurt to buy a couple new clamps also,,,,and tighten the pi$$ outta them. Bosch

My raptor had the same thing, but i went to the dealer and they upgraded my intake boots to 2002+ style. It works ALOT better, for the old ones, i had my dad push and hole them into the boot why'll i tightend them, just dont over tigheten them!

get some carb cleaner, or brake cleaner and a rag. Then spray the part where the boots slide onto the carb with it and wipe it real good. then do the same thing with the inside of the boots (where they clamp) just to get anything off that might be causing it to slide off.

I had the same problem Years ago when I polished my Carbs for my BAnshee. I ended up scuffing the outside of the carbs with 80 grit sand paper where they fit inside the boots. I also used alcohol to clean the inside of the boot and the outside of the carb where the boot slides on.

If you go this route be sure to completly clean the carb body to get all the grit off and out of the carb!
This Worked for me.

Regular Hose clamps work better than the stock pinch type too.
Good luck
