Default Steering Stem wiggle?

I was installing my bars today and i noticed i get a little play out of my steering stem, like i can wiggle it from side to side, it makes a little cluck noise too, is this normal or do i have to replace the stem?

My 660 did the same thing, i took the bolt off the steering stem all the way at the bottem, where it connects the tie rods, and but threat locker on it and tightend it all the way and all of it went away. Put the thread locker on, or it wobbles after a few rides again.

Default Steering Stem wiggle?

it could also be a loose/damaged tie-rod end

Thanx for the advise....My friend told me about the threadlocker trick, and I thought he was full of it... Mines been doing it for 2 years, but never bothered me enough to fix it. Now the problem will be solved....
