Bye Bye Raptor!
#1
Well, I'm going to sell the raptor, and either get a Honda TRX450R or just use the money to make the YFZ a better MX machine. My brother and I are really into MX, and well since the raptor is mine, I can't race the YFZ. And the raptor just doesn't do the job in the track. I thought of getting another YFZ but I want to try something new, and probaly moving to Honda, I know I'm going to miss the torquey motor and more stuff about it, but I always come beat up when I race with the raptor and I can't allow that anymore.
So bye bye raptor and maybe welcome 450R!
Suggestions would be appreciated on what to do.

Eh, you've waited a while already, I'd hold out for the 06 models or a great deal on an 05 when the 06 bikes come out. Who knows, you may even have another choice or two by then or have a few good upgrades on existing models.

Congrats!!!! I'm sure you'll find you work on it a lot less then the Yami's I have friends with raptors and will admit it's a decent trail sport quad, but you won't find it has anything on the 450r except electric start and reverse.... The R is easily faster once u let it breath a little with HRC or something else.

Lets not start with this crap the YFZ-450 and 450R are both awesome quads and any honda/yami quad is reliable if you know how to take care of it and fix normal wear and tear items. Actually myself id lean more towards the YFZ it’s a better quad for that type of racing...
