Just noticed that RockyMountainAtv already has the raptor exhausts on their website. They do say "out-of-stock". At least they have the prices:

Silencer: 229.99
Pipe: 158.99

Or the complete system: 369.99

That's pretty disappointing, as that, I believe, is crankshaft HP.

My 400EX shows something like 34 (can't find the MSO right now), but it is well known that it produces 27 @ the rear tires. This would put the Raptor's RWHP figure in the mid to upper 30's - which explains it's trouble outrunning Banshee's and DS650's, I guess. Wonder what Yamaha did, in the streetbike it makes something like 49hp (not sure if that is CS or RWHP though)...

Have not heard that. I will check to see if we are talking apples to apples when I see the dealer today. That's good to know though...maybe I can save a few bucks.

Yamaraptor, not sure were you are getting your info but I talked to two different dealers today and they are not aware of the GYT-R Exhaust being a White Bros. I've got a copy of all the "01 660R Raptor Accessories" from the dealer. I will post these later in a new thread. It say's these are all "Genuine Yamaha Parts & Accessories". They also have a couple of Graphics Kits and Silver Shock covers not to mention a few other things. It say's the aftermarket exhaust was developed and designed within Yamaha's Genuine Yamaha Technology - Racing program.

Please post all the info that you can/are willing to out of that brochure. My dealer didn't seem aware of it.

By any chance do they give any description of the performance the pipe and silencer add?

How much are the silver shock covers? I have been wonder what I would put on them.

I will post a copy of the prices and descriptions as soon as I can find someone to post them for me. I've scanned them into a tiff format but have no place to host them. Anyway..the silver shock covers are $30 bones for the front and $15 for the rear.

FYI - Yamaha doesn't make all of their "Genuine Yamaha Parts & Accessories." I bought some silver shock covers for the Raptor from Outerwears a few weeks ago before the Raptor's release. Outerwears told me that they made the "Yamaha" shock covers also and just put "Yamaha" on the outerwears shock covers. Outerwears still charged me the same price that Yamaha is supposed to charge ($40.00 for a set of 3). They must have an agreement with Yamaha not to underprice them. The exhaust may be the same situation. If White Bros makes an exhaust for Yamaha then they may have an agreement that if they sell them themselves, they won't underprice Yamaha dealers. It's still worth checking out to see if they'll sell them at a cheaper price.
