doug gust doesnt ride a YFZ, he rides a Z-400 and the reason he wins is because he is a better rider.

 

i believe he meant that all he sees is doug gust, a lot of people on yfz's, and not many hondas.

what does everyone think about the looks of these 2 atv's. i love the way the yfz looks even stock and modded it can get better...but sometimes i think it looks like crap when they shave the nose too much. sometimes they do a good job and it looks cool though. i think the 450R looks pretty cool off the showroom floor but not ALL that great. i really like the way some modded 450R's look tho. Tim Farr's 450R looks sweet. i love to see the thing go on the whoops and jumps. it looks so smooth. but otherwise im not really a honda guy. sorry for the kinda off topic but i hadda post something.

 

ok, after reading all of the posts in this topic (which by the way made the comp class much shorter), i figure ill throw my opinion into this.

Overall, id be glad to take either the yfz of the 450r. both are decent. both have their strengths and weaknesses. from what ive seen, the yfz's tend to be a better mx, yet the 450r is a better trail, and from my experience, a more comftorable ATV. as for motors blowing on the 450, we havent seen one yet in the honda dealer here. either way id take the yamaha just cuz of e-start. god i hate kick startin.

now the second a person has come to defend the 450r, they get put down and drowned in the insults of it.

id challenge anyone to a race if they let me choose the track. and thats on my scrammy.

i am a yamaha biased person, but the 450r holds its spot in the market. its more of a trail than the yfz. i used to own a yamaha, a kodiak 400. i beat the snot out of it. im still the only person i know of to break the swingarm on it. but hey, thats what i get for my riding style.

 

Yamaha is a shizload more reliable than Honda!!!!! tahts for sure!!!!

NO WAY CRUZ!!!

i think honda is bullet proff then they got soned n got the 450r in production 2 soon

 

but if you hit a tree the knuckle breaks so easly !! (look at pictuers)

 

the yfz is better machine case closed and i ride with Rs. Honda boys go back to the drawing board and put some power in that R!
