banshee case oil
Whats the best oil to use in the case of a banshee. My brothers got a '99 banshee, one of the service shops told him to use yamalube 4 stroke mix in the case, he switched and now after the first oil change the clutch gave out. Just wondering if the 4 stroke mix is correct and the clutch was just coincidence, or is there something better to put in the case. TIA

I use Castrol 10w40 in mine. The manual calls for 10w40.
If I let it sit for a while, I'll even take the plugs out and pour some oil down into the crackcase (in addition to the oil mix) and kick it over a few times. It'll smoke like hell after that, but I don't want to risk blowing another crank.
