Yep, that's right. On the Warrior at least. The Warriors in stock trim are really hard to get to max RPM, so any power gains you put in will indeed make you faster because you can get to the higher revs .. With stock gearing and just the FMF slipon I got mine up to 110km/h (68mph) but it took a long while and a slight downhill.

 

From what i heard, and im not backing this up, on the raptor 350 the gains with a pipe are even better in terms on top speed, but since i have never been clocked i can't say, anyone know a cool cop in North NJ that would let me "borrow" a radar gun to prove this theory?

 

Or you drop some money on a warrior and turn lots of heads > everyones seen a fast shee bro. its about doing something out of the ordinary and original for my own personal project I guess. I have had plenty of close calls up in 5th - 6th on straight aways in the woods; DEER god damn those things man... Could I just go and buy a fast bike? Yes I could but it wouldnt be as fun modding it cause its already fast and everyone knows it is.

 

I would agree with d3ath, I like to see my best friends sh*t their joors when they get passed by a warrior while riding their 400's. I may eventually buy a yfz, but I'll always keep the warrior since it's like owning a old classic hot rod. It's definately a blast to ride and mod up as well. Instead of finding a cop you guys should just buy a gps that will record your max speed, it'll be much easier. As for deer, I almost hit three during my last trip to atlanta trail.

 

Yeah same here boxhead - I will never sell my bike even if I get a new one; the warrior dates back to 1987 was the first quad with electric start and back in the day was one of the most fast 4 stroke trail machines out. Now they dont make them anymore and I love my machine it has been very good to me so even if I get a new quad im keeping her - lots of good times and memories on the bike.

 

Will the honda 250ex oil cooler work?

 

No because the warrior uses the fittings from its big brother utility the "big bear" that happens to bolt directly onto the warrior case (no modding). How ever im sure there is some way to do it but not as easy.

 

im talking about the radiator its self.

 

sure if you can find a place to stick it; the radiator I used is intended for a small car (Product #401 Hayden oil cooler from AutoZone.com). Boxhead used a dif. cooler so id ask him what the name of it is. You really can use any cooler intended for oil that will fit.

 

So the one you actually have is the Hayden Transmission oil cooler. (thats the one on autozone #401)
