Default Raptor Carb Specs ----> throttle body

The raptor has Dual Mikuni 33mm BSR. Is the 33mm the diameter of the space the air travels through? Where is this measurement taken?(the front or back) The reason I ask is because I have got a hold of a throttle body from a GSX-R 750 street bike for a rather cheap price. One side the diameter is 40mm and on the oposite side the diameter is 50mm. (measuring from both inside edges) I am wondering if I would be able to use this throttle body on the raptor? I plan to try to make an EFI system from scratch. I think I may be able to do it with the help of you guys here on the forums, resources on the internet, and some people I know. I know very little about EFI so this will definately be a learning experience for me. If all else fails ill buy the system from KMS.

PS I know there needs to be alot of fabrication. Any suggestions are welcome.

um. a throttle body only passes Air, their made for bikes with fuel injection. your not going to be able to put that on your raptor.

I see no reason you can't use that on your raptor. Obviously you still need a lot of hardware but that seems like a good TB to start with. I have been looking at designing a custom efi for my raptor for a long time. I considered using the megasquirt computer system. Just do your homework and ask lots of questions. Don't be afraid to experiment a little. You can always go back to stock if you can't make it work (or by from KMS like you said). Let us know how it goes and good luck.

And to LT250RFatty, a throttle body not only passes air, it serves as a injection site, fuel air mixture site, and holds the throttle position sensor which is vital to computer calculation for injection timing.
