i bought a 91 blaster for 500 bucks. ran when it was parked 4 years ago but it has sat in a barn for 4 years. i got it and i pulled the carb off, rebuilt it, put an oil pump block off kit on it and the plug wire was soo rotted the boot just came right off. well i got a 02 blaster coil put it on and i got spark, then nothing. so i cleaned every possible connection and ground and checked all wires and cleaned the stator and now i get spark MOST of the time. sometimes i still dont. im getting fuel. and it has a hell of a lot of compression. brand new plug. i also put a new on/off kill switch on it because i heard they go bad alot. i still have nothing. i put brand new boysen power reeds in it and nothing. i had a friend pull me around in about 2nd gear and my light lights up and shines bright but still will not start for the life of me. i even tried some starting fluid and nothing. its not even really flooded. i mean the plug is moist but not soaked. i have no idea. im clueless. any help would be GREATLY appreciated! i want to get it running soo bad and im tired of throwing my money into useless parts. i got it and its had alot of motor work done, well the carb had a 330 jet, i put a new air filter and those reeds and i slapped a 340 in it, could that possibly be the reason? the pilot jet is an aftermarket one so i just cleaned it really good and slapped that one back in it but other than that i used all new parts for the car. what do i do? im lost? please help!

i bought it from my cousin. my cousin ran the crap outa it for about a year, moved so he parked it. it will deffinately run though. its had a ton of head work and its either bored .40 over or its a 240. he isnt sure. (not too smart). but it ran when he parked it. and it had a 330 jet in it from what i saw. what if i slapped in the 230 from the kit. would it maybe help any?

i mixed the gas and oil 30:1 and shook it up really good and its only maybe a week old. its getting plenty of gas out of the tank, the plug will have gas on it. but not alot. i even tried starting fluid and didnt even get a sputter. thats why i think maybe its in the electrical but i have no idea what to look for.
