i need help on decideing on a quad i ride a lot of sand and local trails, i like jumping fire roading, wheelieng, and hauling butt.
i cant choose between the yfz 450, raptor, (unfourtuneatly) 400 ex, or z400 and its clones, i like reverse but its not a absoulte nessesicty, i like to jump alot but not too high or far, it needs to be eazy to work on, i love yamaha and i currently ride a suzuki dirt bike cauze of the value, but i like four wheelers better, it needs to be simple reliable and comfortable. pleaze help. thank you

 

probably a raptor would be the best quad if you dont have lots of money.
if not splurge for the yfz

 

i'd go with the raptor or the yfz out of the choices you have i'd take the 450 out of those 2 choices

 

My opinion is for you to get the Raptor. It is a great quad. Very easy to maintain. Easy to find parts for!!'

YFZ450- Great quad, Light weight, perfect for jumping and its speed is rediculous!!! a little more $ than the raptor but if you want to smoke people on the track then YFZ is your quad!

 

I would have to say that the raptor is what you are looking for. The 450 is more of a motorcross bike. and most likely, if you are just getting a quad you arnt planning on racing on a track. Since you refered to some sand the 660 power will suit you great. At the same time it is great on trails too.

 

i totally agree with the yfz450 being a motorcross bike and the 660 raptor is good for trails but i would go with the raptor or the 400ex
