Does anyone know which quad manufacturer sold the most units in 2004 (at least in the US) and what was their best selling model? Just curious if anyone knew the real numbers. Also, are more sport quads or utility quads being sold?

That's a good question which I'd love to hear the answer too also. I'd bet Honda sold the most and its top seller was the Rancher.

 

Well I know the raptor was the best selling sport quad for yamaha but the YZF450 could have taken over...

 

The best selling model, was probably the polaris sportsman( 500,600 and 700). But I think honda is still the top seller. Honda doesnt break down the numbers,that I can find, they just post a total.

 

Im not positive, but I think the last time I seen any statistics it was
-Honda
-Polaris
-Yamaha
-Suzuki
and so on..

I was suprised to see Polaris up there, considering the majority of quads I see is yamaha and honda.

Yeah...zuki has made some strides in sales but they are definately not #2.

Honda
Yamaha
Suzuki
Polaris
.....

 

Polaris sells a lot of sportsmans, the top three have to be Yamaha, Honda and Polaris, not necessarily in any specific order.

 

I am like you Viper,I see alot of the Jap quads down south BUT we go fishing in Minn and Wisc in the summers and up there it's ALL Polaris.Probably brand loyalty spilling over from the snowmobile guys.
