Im thinking about putting one of the H C piston/cam kits from ripperracing.com in my raptor. I dont really want to go with 12:1 though.

Just looking for some opinions. 12:1 and stage one cam? 11:1 and stage one cam? or 10.75:1 and stage one cam? I am pretty sure I want to stay stock bore for now. Im also thinking of porting and polishing of head. Should I pay to get it done or do it myself? Also which is better wiseco or je?

 

Ripperracing will probably have to order the wisecos but has the JE's in stock. The 11:1 is the same as the 10:75:1 we all just call it an 11:1 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. The gain from 11:1 to 12:1 is minimal imo plus with the 11:1 you'll possibly get away with 91 octane, 100 octane or less for sure.

 

Weisco is better and more reliable.

 

First off thanks for the responses. Perhaps the question seemed a little off. I know the the ripperracing kits are JE, I just wanted to know if JE or wiseco is better. Depending on which is better I would just either buy the kit or make my own kit with the wiseco.

 

Vote for Wiseco here, got them in 2 raps with no problems.
