wiseco +6hp kit for banshee

i was thinking about getting the wiseco +6 hp kit for the banshee...does it help and is it noticably better performance? also it says it gives u the gaskets too...but i have a ptr powerhead and i dont have a gasket but i have o-rings between the head and the cylinder...will i be able to use the wiseco kit with the ptr powerhead or not? please help me out

Are you sure it was a "6-hp" kit and not a.060" over kit. If you know where to get pistons that add 6 hp, let me know.

I have seen adds for these pistons in magazines. I think you can get them through Magic Racing. Yes they are supposed to add 6 horsepower. They are supposed to produce the same effect as a mild port job.

so u say it would be good as a mild port job so what if i get it ported also? will it have even greater performance?

IS this a flat top piston kit?...I think I might have seen it. You probably have to have your heads modified to work with these pistons. Call the place where you saw the ad.

i dunno if they r flat topped but i have a ptr powerhead, not a stock head, and i was wondering if i can use this piston kit with that head?

you should have no prob..using the head and the +6 pistons..as long as their is clearance between the 2...i jjust installed those pistons and yes big improvement...i dunno how because did some head at the same time...but good luck...

I know a guy story, he bought the wiseco kit and he ports heads around here so he knows alot about it , but he said by the radar gun he has, the pistons made him slower by 2mph up the hill(sand mountain).A port job if it is done right is the best way to go.
