Default I need to get the chain off my warrior, do I need a chain breaker and press

I an replacing the stock 13t with a 12t front sprocket on my warrior. I need to get the chain off but im not sure if I need a chain breaker or not. I have looked at the axle housing and I dont see a simple way to adjust it. My clymer manual doesnt give much info. I could buy a breaker and press but the one I found was 50 bucks. Anyone who has done this have a good suggestion

well I cheated I just took off the sprocket and left the chain on. Damn the 12t is a lot smaller than the 13t. I didnt think it would be that much smaller. So tomorrow I get to try and adjust the rear carrier. YEAH!!!!(Sarcasm) I tried to get that damn master link off, because I really want to clean the chain but man I busted three knuckles before I said to hell with this. Any suggestions

Take a flat head screwdriver and very lightly (and carefilly) and try to work it off. and then there will be little rubber spacers too and take those off (and careful not to lose them!) And then take off the other side and again the little spacers. Then take off the chain, do whatever and put the chain on and reverse the order (Master link is gonna be a b**** to put back on) Just a heads up.

i never take my chain apart to change the sprockets, its just adding more work.

that rear carrier adjustment isnt that hard, the 12 front will allow you to wheelie good, but i dont think youll like i after a while.
when i had me 12 on the front i could almost take off in 3rd gear its geared that low.

i wasnt correcting you as much as i was informing him the correct word for them as i thought he must be a newbie. and i dont think master links are hard to put on at all.just got to squeeze that sob real good first. by the way banshee, cant blaster front wheels be reversed? how does it handle?bump steer bad? want to do my beater mojave ,but i have to use my flush-mount valve stems to clear.it makes front and back same width.(or close)

It wheelies really easy now, no effort, no dropping the clutch. I dont think I will get tired of it, as most of my riding will be in the dunes(15-20mph max) I like the idea of being able to launch from second and using third as my primary riding gear. Less shifting is much better for riding the sand. Also all that torque will help turn my 8 paddle haulers.
