Default Rattling Noise

Well, when i start my quad up and put the choke out and let it idle, i hear a ratteling noise. It is coming from the front section of the quad. I think it is coming from the black box like think that has rivets in it. It is infront of the seat, above the Yamaha engine, near the choke. I don't know what its called, sry. But anyways, when it idels with teh choke on, it rattles. My dad says its the piston head.. he right? he said its nothing to worry about.. But, i was jus wondering if someone knew what it was. When i am riding it, sometimes when i am riding and I hit mid to high gear, it will rattle. Umm.. thats basicly it.. can someone tell me whats going on? Greatly appreciated.

if your valves are slapping, no. its common.

just need to readjust them. i dont know how to do it, but it doesnt cost much at a dealer to do it, i always had my buddy do it for me.
