drive shaft

Default drive shaft
Any one tell me how much slack there should be in the drive shaft on a 1991 big bear 4-4 i put 2 new u joint's in but there seem's to be slack in the shaft . could it be the yoke or the drive shaft ???

Maybe the slack is in the differential. What is it doing exactly?

Ii seem's to have play in the drive shaft i have put 2 u joints in i thought that might fix it but no go. it has play where the spline go's into the yoke

Default drive shaft
Sounds like the splines on the shaft and/or yoke are worn. Try to isolate the movement and find exactly where the slack is coming from.
