Can I stick with my stock heat shield on the LTE's?

yes you can. I'm using a carbon fiber replica of a stock shield. the same one I used with my carbon fiber yoshi pipe. you will have to get two new screws to hold it on though. the holes are not metric.

FYI--- the heat shield that you can order for the LTE's (aluminum) was a waist of money. $60 bucks for crushed beer can.

My raptor has the Yoshi on it, it's a good pipe, a little loud but the gains are good, with the carb you have on, it will hook up good. I don't have experiences with the LTE's, but they look good, but I would still prefer Yoshi over the LTE's because of the price.

CoyoteRiverRaptor, are you planning on selling any of those pipes you got lying around. Just wondering.

I used the stock heat shield on mine with the allen headed screws that came with the LTE's. It fit pretty good. There's a pic of the stock shield mounted on the LTE's in my pics. The pipes themselves fit awesome. Bolted up better than any exhaust system I've ever installed.
