Does the YFZ make a good fast trail riding quad?

In a word, YES. The only downfall really is the stiff suspension. That rear shock really kicks my A sometimes. Other than that, the thing is awesome right off the showroom floor.

If you own a 2004 YFZ, and are a typical slow trail rider, you may have some problems like the battery, but it's said that it was fixed on the '05 models. The suspension is a bit stiff, but if you go fast, you wont notice it much.

Its true! When ever we ride we turn the lights on and had have NO battery problems since!!

As ReconRanger put it the YFZ is a track bike that can be modded for trails. Stick with the 450R is your going to do trails
