oil temp light on wolverine
i was riding and rolled my wolverine on the side, bent my handlebars but was ok. well after riding for a little while
after the accident and letting the bike rest my oil temp light was coming on, sometimes it was dimmly on and then
it would come on very bright like at start up well not wanting to damage anything i went back to the campsite but
on the way back the light stopped coming on and seemed to be ok. any reason why this could of happened and
anything i need to check out before riding again thanks for the info

Check the oil level. Are you sure you didn't lose some when you rolled it?
I had an old trx 250 that leaked oil through the rear output shaft seal. The oil would go down into the differential. It would not leak onto the ground so we did not notice it. This caused a low oil condition which in turn caused the oil to heat up. This made the oil temp light come on. Needless to say, this can cause major engine problems.

i did check the oil level right away it was right on the mark, i had just changed it 2 days before we rode. i also checked about an hour later just to make sure and still on the mark. i cleaned out the cooler when i had got back to the campsite just to make sure it wasnt blocked because we were riding through some mud and water earlier in the day. this was over a week ago and tomorrow my 424 select will be here so ill pull her out and check her over before i install the driveshaft and will let you guys know if i find anything. thanks for help
