'05 grizzly 660

Hey guys, I am looking into purchasing a grizzly and I hear a lot of good stuff about them. I know about five guys with them and they all say get a grizzly. Though I have done searches on here and they seem to have a problem breaking axles, cv joints. I don't want to spend all this money on a atv just to have a problem with it. I will probably do a lot of mud riding so if not the grizzly, which to you recommend?

Hi there,
From what I have heard the Grizz had big axle problems on the 03 models and they seem to last better now.
The Grizz is a great atv and ALL atv's have their own problems.
I would recommend that you buy what you like the feel of when you ride.
What you don't like about one atv some one else will like it for the same reason!
I don't want to get on the bash Suzuki band wagon, but be cautious of first year runs!!
Get something that has had time to have the bugs worked out ( like 03 breaking axles on the grizz) and have fun!

thanks for the reply, I know that I am going to have to test all the options first. Ya I was looking at the king quad, but like you said it still has bugs to work out. I also don't like what I am reading about reverse problems and suzuki pretty much ignoring people's complaints. I was asking about the axles because my friend has a '04 and has broken 3 of them. He has the xtended warrenty so no problem their but it still makes me worry.

the griz is a pritty solid quad. it, like all quads, have some with issues. i had an 02 griz, and can tell ya bout issues, lol! all in all, it is as reliable as any 4x4 on the market. it also has its limits, with water, mud, and trailing, just like other quads.
ride as many as you can, going from dealership to dealership, and then deside. dont read complaints on any quad, becouse they all have them. try to setup osts on a quad your interested, and read what everyone who owns them says, that is much better way to sum up a quad.
good luck
