Default Got lucky ??

Had my Kenz built 686 out to the Badlands in Indiana last saturday. Day started out good then out of the blue, BAM!!!
Right in the middle of climbing this hill, I snapped the chain. The dang chain and sprockets only had a few hrs time on em, I just recently replaced them. Guess them 22 inch 12 paddle haulers add a little more stress, but they sure do hook up .

Anyway , after rolling back down the hill, i get off the bike to see the last thing anyone wants to see. The chain wrapped arount the sprocket and oil pouring out. Without really checking it out closely I rolled her back on the trailer and drove home.

Upon pulling the motor out of the frame, I discover that the cases ARE NOT BROKEN.
Instead, it snapped the shaft that the front sprocket is on , Clean in half !!! Easy fix, just time consuming.

Moral of the story, next time buy better chain.
