hey guys i was on my friends banshee the other day in shorts and the pipes were hot and you can probably guess what happened next. I hit a bump and my legs hit the pipes and i got burned. hes got aftermarket pipes and i was wondering if theres a way to wrap the pipe or if theres an exhaust sheild so that i dont burn myself again. thanks

 

wear a few layers of pants , such as carharts and a pair of jeans

 

im not gunna wear a couple layers of pants when its over 80 degrees outside, but i do that when its cold out

 

you can get heat tape to put on the outside of it for the summer or just get as far back on it as you can w/ your feet and hope you leg doesnt hit

 

just wear pants, even if its 80 degrees, your ona banshee, I can think of one way to cool yourself off!

 

yea me to, go real fast, but i cant always open it up on the tight twisty trails and thats when i burnt my leg and i hate wearing jeans when i ride i just wanted to know if i could wrap the pipes up and if anything would happen if i did it

your supposed to wear pants when ever you ride a quad... Do you ever see someone riding a harley with straight pipes wearing shorts? even when its hot out, going 50mph will cool you off..

 

if it dont wanna wear pants then yur legs r gonna get burnt so either wear pants or take off your pipes and wrap them w/ ugly heat tape id choose pants u dont havfta wear jeans just pick up some nice riding pants made for hot wheater

 

yeah i agree jusr wear pants , i learned that ;ast yr , side of my leg was burnt from the warrior
