The mods that you mention are almost similar to the one my friend has that beats me. But it also depends on the condition of the bike, if it's to beat up, good luck. And I think you should go down to a 14 up in front, so you wont get beat to bad in the beggining, remember that the YFZ has as good or even better acceleration of that of a banshee. do you guys actually ride? the piped banshee will smoke the yfz! was riding at horsfall this weekend and watched plenty of yfz's racing banshee's, the yfz's would be pretty even against the STOCK banshees but as soon as you get one piped there is no race the banshees win every time. sorry to upset all you four stroke guys, which i own a 04 raptor, but the banshee is still king of the dunes!!!!!!!!!

 

Not that I don't like the banshees, but a stock YFZ will keep up or even beat a piped banshee in my books of history, so there you have it, you probaly haven't ridden a YFZ yet, if you have, you would understand that those little 450's have damn good acceleration to take a banshee of the line. Experience it for yourself, don't just open your mouth.

 

i waas talking to my friend w/ a yfz he said he lost to a banshee w/ a set of pipes and lost to one w/ pipes reeds and K&N filters and hes a realli good rider hes been riding for about 5 or 6 yrs and hes realli skinny he probaly weighs 120 at most and from my research on banshees they will get upto high 70's w/ just a pipe and a yfz will got about 72-74 stock sooo id think a yfz will lose to a banshee with pipes

Well, owning both and having run against several, I'd have to say that stock for stock, and piped vs piped, the YFZ is quicker.

The Banshee can be made to go faster than the YFZ, but it will take porting, and headwork along with the pipes.

You'll get people arguing this all day long though.

Just send me your cylinders I,ll port them, and with your fmf pipes. he will not beat you. especially on top end. Is your fmf a fatty , knarly, or sst?

 

I Have a Banshee. And all i have done to it is a K&N Filter and a 15T Front Spocket and i can stay side by side with a Raptor.
